Getting Supplies

The man looks at where Aang pointed and picks up the moose lion meat. That will be ten copper pieces per pound. You have the money, kids I look to Aang, who has the money. Do you think one pound or more? You know how much Sokka eats? I laugh at my brother, even though he wasn't there.

I laugh too and say I think we should get 2 pounds so everyone can have some. I wait to see what Katara thinks about it.

Good thinking ahead, Aang. I bet that Suki, Toph, Sokka, and Zuko will all want some. We can find something else for us. I pull out a few copper coins to pay for the food, and I carry it over my shoulder and begin to walk away from the stand while the fat vendor counted the pieces. I smirk, looking for something that a vegetarian could eat. So what are you in the mood for?

I begin to think. Why don't you choose for me. You always know exactly what i want. I smile and wait for her response.

I smile and look around at the other booths. An energetic woman comes in my face and says, Leechi nuts, you said? We got the best and freshest nuts in all of the Earth Kingdom! At the most reasonable prices, as well! She pulls me and Aang over to her cart and shows us the fruits and nuts. I turn to Aang, laughing. Any of this look good to you, Aang?

I laugh as i'm pulled over to the cart with Katara. Yeah. It all looks great. Umm i think we should get this kind. As i say this i hold up a nut.

The woman looks at Aang and says in an excited voice, That is a wonderful choice, sir. A great, wonderful choice! Only one copper piece per nut. Not much at all! And if your girlfriend would like some too, we have many varieties of nuts. I look at Aang and role my eyes, saying that this lady needed some time off or something.

I look back at her and saying yeah or a least a boyfriend. Umm how many nuts should we get Katara? I smile at the lady as i wait for Katara's answer

I ignore the annoying saleslady's "girlfriend" comment and laugh. I look at all nuts. Ten. That way we can all have some and maybe even have a few extras. I pick out a few more nuts and hand the lady the money to pay for the nuts. I quickly walk away to avoid having my ear talked off by her. What next, Aang?

I smile as i walk next to Katara. I think we're just about done. Aren't we? I turn my head away from her and begin to think about the talk we had.

I turn around and take the blankets from him. I can hold these. They aren't too heavy. I head back toward the camp. So... I say, trying awkwardly to start a conversation.

I smile trying to hide how awkward i thought the moment was. Do you think that the move in the scroll Sokka gave will be helpful? I didn't know what else to alk about so i just said something that had nothing to do with the talk earlier.

I nod and reply, Yes, I think it will. I was looking at it before Appa landed, and it looks like a purely offensive move, opposed to the defensive moves we have been working on more. I smile, glad that Aang understood why we couldn't be together. It just wasn't the right time.

I smile and say Maybe we should hurry. Everyone has got to be starving by now. I begin to speed up so we can get back faster. I saw a river close to our campsite. Maybe we'll be able to get some practice done before it gets to late.

I smile and begin to run faster and faster, not letting the blankets fall. Last one there gets to brush Appa! I laugh and yell as I speed past him.

I laugh as i speed up. As i pass her i say Have fun brushing Appa. I continue to laugh as i run faster and faster.

I laugh even louder as he speeds past me. Hey! No fair! You used your Airbending powers! I continue running, not even keeping up with him at all, and I begin to see camp.
